How to get rid of dark circles and bags under your eyes ?

Le 22 octobre 2021

We all notice one day the presence of dark circles, puffiness and even wrinkles that distort our face. In addition to the usual morning ritual, we must get rid of these marks. Here are some tips :

Dark circles

Dark circles under the eyes often reflect a disturbance of the lymphatic tissue. They are usually due to poor blood circulation. Their colour depends on the type of skin. They can be black, bluish or yellowish.

These dark circles are often hereditary. They become more pronounced with fatigue, a poor lifestyle, smoking, alcohol consumption or a high-fat diet.

To reduce dark circles, you need to get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, opt for a healthy diet and practice physical exercises.

However, they can be hidden thanks to :

-Make-up

First, apply a light powder under your eyes. This step will help you hide the dark circles in the morning.

Next, apply a foundation and add a concealer, one or two shades lighter than your face.

If the dark circles remain visible, it would be better not to use a too dark eye shadow. It will accentuate the image of tiredness and a bad complexion.

-Vitamin

However, there are other solutions to make dark circles disappear.

In the morning and evening, apply a specific eye contour care product rich in active draining elements such as ruscus and vitamin K.

-Water

At the same time, you should increase your water intake to revitalize and drain your liver, as well as adding tone to your lymphatic tissues for a luminous look.

Bags under the eyes

The appearance of bags under the eyes is generally associated with water retention or fatty deposits under the lower eyelid, all associated with sagging skin.

Like dark circles, they reflect a state of fatigue or poor lifestyle habits. They are also hereditary and increase with age.

So, what can be done to get rid of them ?

Once again, you can rely on makeup to hide the bags under your eyes. However, this method has its limits. You will eventually have to take other means.

-A better lifestyle

Having a healthy diet will facilitate lymphatic circulation and reduce under-eye bags.

You can also apply firming creams enriched with active tensors. They are available in most pharmacies and specialized stores.

-Surgery : a radical solution

It is also possible to opt for a blepharoplasty also called eyelid surgery if the bags become more pronounced. The plastic surgeon makes a small incision inside the eyelids to remove the excess skin and fat. The operation is relatively simple, but in most cases it must be done under general anaesthesia.

Healing is usually rapid and results can be seen after 3 to 6 months.
